The NCSY (or National Conference of Synagogue Youth) Winter Regional in San Diego is a time for Jewish teens to come together to learn about their culture and to enjoy being with like-minded people. Ace Parking is the featured parking provider for this event.
NCSY is a non-profit organization that was founded over half a century ago by Harold and Enid Boxer. NCSY is highly dedicated to engaging Jewish teenagers in learning about their heritage and encouraging them to build bonds of friendship with other Jewish teens.
The organization helps aims to help teenagers learn more about the Jewish culture and guide them towards a successful life through education. It instills them with the necessary skills and values to become respected, passionate leaders in their communities in a safe and nurturing environment. In addition to learning from study and interaction with other teens, NCSY offers the opportunity for its members to interact with successful and well-respected elders in the community. The organization consists of more than chapters spread across America.
The Event
This year, the annual NCSY Winter Regional will be held on the 19th of December and the turnout is expected to be more than 300 Jewish teens from all the West Coast chapters. The collaborative event will be hosted at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in San Diego, California. In accordance with Jewish traditions, the Hilton’s very own Executive Chef, David Umatum will cater a completely kosher event.
In addition to great food, there will be more than 30 Breakout sessions and countless opportunities for Jewish Learning. There will be inspirational Havdala, Kabbalat, and Shabbat services among others.
The event will not focus exclusively on the learning aspect though. There will be plenty of opportunities for entertainment fun and social interaction. Some of the available activities will include exclusive arcades, batting cages, bumper boats, putt-putt golf, laser tag competitions, and even go-karts. The event will also feature the well known “Project Chazon: A Jewish Multimedia Experience,” which will be sponsored by San Diego’s Jewish Federation.
